This simple 3-ingredient white chocolate mousse is luxury. No weird ingredient, no gelatin or agar-agar, it makes for an elegant white chocolate dessert with a silky-smooth texture. A quick and easy dessert for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 80g white chocolate chips (or baking white chocolate, chopped*)
  • 200 ml heavy whipping cream
  • 2 egg whites
  • For serving: strawberries or raspberries, fresh mint leaves, lime or lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Pour the heavy whipping cream in a medium mixing bowl and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth and creamy. Alternatively you can melt them in a water-bath. Let cool slightly for 5 minutes.
  3. Beat heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it to the slightly cooled white chocolate until full incorporated.
  4. Beat the egg whites until stiff, then gently fold into the white chocolate. Pour into 4-6 ramekins and place in the refrigerator for minimum 3 hours. Serve with strawberries, lime zest and fresh mint leaves. Enjoy!

Notes

* If using baking white chocolate, make sure you chop it into pea-size, making sure they are roughly the same size. This will guarantee an even melting.
