Announcing Download-a-Dish: a world first

I am proud to announce the latest in cutting edge cuisine experience. Behold Download-A-Dish, a brand new feature on Del’s cooking twist which lets you instantly receive your favorite dish in the blink of an eye and ready-to-eat.

Del’s buddha bowl is the perfect healthy go-to lunch for those with a busy schedule

This is groundbreaking technology, never seen before, which lets you reach through the screen and grab the meal you want to sample or simply click on a button for an arm to hand-deliver some of the best Del has to offer.

This technology was made possible by Dr. Harold Lad, our chief scientist at the Cache Tool Factory. Using ultra-precise electronic technology combined with molecular cuisine using Chef Andre Rarafi’s latest innovations, we were able to cross the boundary between online recipes and your home. You can now sample any of Del’s recipes in the comfort of your home in an instant.

I tried Download-a-Dish and it worked instantly even out here in Carpetville. This is better than Netflix on DVD!

Do you have a lunch option?

Are you busy at work? Not to worry, we’ve built in features that make Download-a-Dish work-compatible and healthy. Now, for a limited period, select beta tasters can try our Download-a-Healthy-Lunch (DaHL) available Monday-Friday. You also have the option to get your lunch delivered in a compostable and reusable lunchbox. Adieu wasteful past.

Are the meals organic?

Naturellement. Del’s cooking twist only uses the best, freshest, and environment-friendliest produce and ingredients. We believe in a better future and a better planet and this goes through organic, balanced, and mindful recipes.

Do you have vegan, dairy-free, or gluten-free alternatives?

Yes we do. Del’s cooking twist strives to provide you with many options that cater to your dietary preferences.

Do you have world cuisine?

Of course! Del’s lived in Paris, Stockholm, Chicago, Brussels, and Vancouver. She draws her inspiration from the many cuisines she encountered such as French, Indian, Thai, Scandinavian, Modern American, and even Belgian (sprouts and polenta , sprouts and pomegranate, sprouts pizza). Now that she’s in Vancouver, she drizzles maple syrup all over her recipes.

Is Download-a-Dish (Dad) safe?

Absolutely! Every care has been taken to provide you with the best and safest experience so you can sample cuisine at its best. The meals are e-delivered through your screen fresh and ready-to-eat. And it works on any kind of screen. And if you’re on a diet, try on a mobile device where the meals are scaled to fit. Macarons are mobile-compatible. The levain bakery cookies are not as they are too chunky and rich in chocolate.

Can I choose different meals for my family?

Yes you can. Gone are the days when you would cook a week’s worth of chili. You can choose which dish you and your family want individually. Grandpa Joe can have his porridge and little Charlie can enjoy his chocolate cake. It’s the golden ticket to a happy family!

Is it free?

There is no such thing as a free lunch, right? Well think again! Like the rest of this blog, this feature is provided to you absolutely free. No strings attached. All the recipes, the e-books, and tips are entirely free.

How does Download-a-Dish work?

Time needed: 5 minutes

  1. Search for a recipe

Browse or search for your favorite recipe such as my absolute favorite, the tantalizingly mouth-watering Rosemary Sweet Potato Bread Wreath With Baked Camembert.

A user types in a search phrase in a search box

  2. Locate the buttons below the recipe title

NB: Did you know all the recipes were written in both English and French?

  3. Click on the fourth button: “Download-A-Dish”

And voilà, just wait for a few seconds and your meal should be ready. You’ll know when it’s almost there when you start smelling the delicious flavors oozing from Del’s cuisine. Silverware not included.

On a more serious note

Del and I are very fortunate to be safe and out of harm’s way in these trying times. It’s our collective and moral responsibility to help others. There are many non-profit organizations out there that try to deliver meals to those in need. Del helped a church when she was in Chicago; I donate to the UN’s World Food Program (and my employer matches those donations). If you can, check out these fantastic non-profits:

And now, for the story behind the story

What’s today’s date? Yup, you guessed. We’re years away from any such technology. I stole the idea from one of my favorite authors, Roald Dahl (his name’s hidden somewhere in the text), and his chocolate factory (well Willy Wonka’s actually). In there, you might remember Mike Teavee and the WonkaVision contraption. That TV could send chocolate bars over the air and straight to your TV set. So it only felt natural that Del’s cooking twist would now start sending its meals over the air for your very own enjoyment.

And, on that note, thanks for your time.

Yours truly,

David, Chief Tasting Officer.
